Summer 2024

Harvest of the 2024 wheat crop was completed within the last week with yields ranging from average to excellent. The crop is currently being trucked from elevator storage to fill forward contracts. Fertilizer and crop protection applications will continue throughout the summer in order to optimize yields.  Cover crops will be established on land coming out of wheat and vegetables. Scheduled preventative maintenance is underway in the shop as well as minor enhancements to machinery.  Tile drainage and erosion control projects will begin shortly in order to augment long-term productivity.  Fields are frequently being scouted to assess yield potential, weed pressure, insect pressure, disease pressure, value of genetic traits, and agronomic practices.
