July 8, 2021

The first week of July brought conclusion to our 2021 planting season. Up until the last couple of weeks it has been an incredibly dry spring and efforts made to retain soil moisture through cover crops and residue management proved valuable. Dry conditions allowed for well-timed fertilizer and crop protection applications across our land base. Fields are frequently being scouted to assess yield potential, weed pressure, insect pressure, disease pressure, value of genetic traits, and agronomic practices. Winter wheat harvest is now just around the corner while machinery and grain handling facilities are being prepped accordingly.
